    News|ZCMU Launched the New Medical (TCM) Fusion & Innovation Base Construction Project

    On February 27, Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (ZCMU) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the New Medical (TCM) Fusion & Innovation Base construction project. The event was attended by members of ZCMU’s leadership, representatives of mid-level administrators, and relevant units involved in the project.



    Huang Wenxiu, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of ZCMU, expressed the great importance attached to the base and the vision of its future development in his speech. He highlighted that the base, serving as a comprehensive platform integrating education, technological innovation, and innovation and entrepreneurship, will provide strong support for improving ZCMU’s infrastructure, enhancing the service capacity for scientific research innovation, expanding talent cultivation in TCM and promoting the inheritance and innovation of TCM.



    Following the ceremony, attendees visited the construction sites of the Fuchun Campus (ZCMU) and the Fuyang Branch of the First Affiliated Hospital (Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine).


    Project Overview of New Medical (TCM) Fusion & Innovation Base at ZCMU:

    The project is a crucial measure in ZCMU’s efforts to bring out the full potential of higher education and build high-quality medical institutions. Guided by innovation-driven strategies, the project focuses on strengthening integration between industry & education and university-enterprise cooperation in fields such as biomedicine, life health, and smart healthcare.

    With a total construction area of 52,000 square meters, the base will feature teaching and experimental facilities for the Life Sciences and Health Education Base, Smart Education Teaching Center, Industry-Education Integration Collaboration Center, and TCM Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. It will be equipped with 23 sets of experimental and training instruments for the Life Sciences and Health Education Base. Total investment in the project amounts to 333.135 million yuan.
