    News|China-New Zealand Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine Stage Summary Meeting and Inauguration Ceremony of 2023 International Cooperation Special Project Held

    On November 12, a delegation with Yan Shujiang, Deputy Director of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Wu Zhendou, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, and two others, along with Chen Zhong, President of ZCMU, and four others, convened at the China-New Zealand Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Auckland, New Zealand, for the summing-up meeting of the center’s work and the inauguration ceremony of a new round of projects. The event was jointly organized by the Chinese and international contractors of the center, ZCMU, and the New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine (NZCCM).

    Xu Zhifeng, CEO of NZCCM, and Dr. John Sinclair, Chairperson Board of Directors, delivered the opening remarks and expressed gratitude for the robust support provided by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and extended appreciation for the longstanding assistance from ZCMU.



    Yan Shujiang hoped that ZCMU and NZCCM could deepen their cooperation on the basis of long-term collaboration, and achieve mutual development.



    Chen Zhong reviewed the construction and development history of the center, and outlined the key focus of the next phase’s work in traditional Chinese medicine trade. He emphasized the exploration of feasible ways for exporting prescribed Chinese medicines into New Zealand through the application of TCM plus Internet.

    And then, Wang Ying, Director of ZCMU’s International Relations Office, on behalf of the two sides, provided a summary of the center’s work in international education, medical services, cultural dissemination, academic exchange, etc., and reported on the key plans for the next phase.

    In the end, witnessed by Yan Shujiang and Wang Junchao, Vice Consul-General, Chen Zhong and Feng Li inaugurated the 2023 China-New Zealand Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine.
