On April 28th, Researcher Gao Jianli, Director of the English Editorial Department of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University library, was appointed as editor-in-chief of the SCIE journal Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine (EVID-BASED COMPLALT, eCAM). This is another important position of ZCMU scholars in mainstream international academic journals.

In 2004, Professor Edwin L. Cooper founded eCAM (ISSN: 1741-427X (Print), ISSN: 1741-4288 (Online)) and served as the founding editor-in-chief. With the largest number of published papers in integrative and alternative medicine, eCAM is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal that aims to explore the origins of all types of ethnomedicine. The journal is dedicated to promoting the application of scientific and rigorous research methods to integrative and alternative medicine, particularly in traditional Asian medical systems. Ranked 12/28 in INTEGRATIVE & COMPLEMENTARY MEDICINE, eCAM is a JCR Q2 journal with an impact factor of 2.630.

Gao Jianli is a researcher and master supervisor in the field of Chinese materia medica. Her research includes immunosenescence, tumor immunity and the regulatory role of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has been the academic Editor of eCAM since 2013, the associate editor in 2019 and the second editor-in-chief from April 2022. According to the contract, the editor-in-chief’s term is automatically renewed every year, and the editor-in-chief will be responsible for the journal’s development, operation, and promotion.
