Professor Wen Chengping of ZCMU was selected into the Qi Huang Young Scholar Support Program list announced by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Wen Chengping is a Doctor of Medicine, professor, chief TCM physician, doctoral supervisor; chief scientist of the National Key R&D Program of China, leader of the key discipline of rheumatism and immunology of National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, director of the Provincial Key Laboratory of Immunology of Zhejiang Province.

Prof. Wen’s research field is key clinical problems in immune disease diagnosis and treatment. He has taken the lead in undertaking many national major programs such as the National Key R&D Program, National Science and Technology Support Program and National TCM Public Welfare Industry Special Project. He has published more than 100 academic papers and 5 books; obtained 7 invention patents; took the lead in formulating 5 diagnosis and treatment standards for the Chinese medicine industry; won 4 provincial and ministerial first prizes; one National Award for Science and Technology Progress second prize and one National Teaching Achievement Award second prize. Besides, Prof. Wen is also the vice-chairman of the Immunology Branch of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, vice president of the Zhejiang Medical Doctors Association and the chairman of the Chinese Medicine Branch of the Zhejiang Medical Doctors Association, vice president of the Zhejiang Association of Integrative Medicine, etc.

To promote the construction of the TCM leading talent team, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine formulated and promulgated the National Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance and Innovation “One Hundred Million” Talent Project (Qi-Huang Project) - TCM Leading Talents Support Plan. The project aims to give full play to the leading role of leading talents through the selection of QI Huang Scholars and Chief Scientists of TCM and gradually form a team of high-level talents to support the inheritance and development of TCM and promote the inheritance and development of TCM. The “Qi Huang Young Scholars” are divided into the clinical type and scientific type, selecting professionals and technicians who have made significant achievements in the clinical practice of TCM or basic theoretical research and applied research in TCM and have made outstanding achievements in their work and have high academic influence at home and abroad. Prof. Wen was selected for the scientific type, with a total of 20 in China.
